Here is my Healthier alternative to the traditional Chocolate brownie. My Husband has a huge sweet tooth and Loves brownies…I, on the other hand do not like brownies nearly as much, but I love banana bread and nuts! Here is what I came up with, they have just enough chocolate chips to be…well, chocolaty! They passed the test with my husband, he’d rather these than any chocolate brownie any day…and that is saying a LOT! They look pretty and are Oh so delicious! Try them out with you family, I think they will be a hit!!!
1 1/2 cup Flour
2/3 cup sugar
1/8 cup oil
pinch baking soda
pinch baking powder
1 1/2 cup mashed bananas – about 3-4 medium bananas
1/2 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup walnuts
1/4 cup crasins
Mix everything in a large bowl, adding the flour last.
Mix until batter in smooth.
Add batter to a greased 9×9 baking pan.
Bake at 350 for 25-35 minutes- until toothpick comes out clean.
Brownies are fantastic either Hot or cooled!
