14 Days of Quiet Time: Day 1

Went AWESOME! I got up about 6:15 and was able to do my bible reading, Devo & prayer, listen to AWESOME worship music, AND spend about an hour with my hubby {he works from home 100% and he has an in-home office} all before the kiddos got up! On friday my wonderful mother came and babysat the kids so that we could go out for dinner. While we were out we decided to go into Lifeway, I really wanted to find a new devotional and I did! I was so please to find this… 978-1-4143-3639-8   I was exactly perfect and what I was looking for! You see, friday morning I received some bad and painful news from not one but two different friends. I was battling some SERIOUS emotions all friday. By the evening I was feeling pretty drained. I did have a great time with my husband! It was wonderful and defiantly what we needed! As soon as we got home we got the kiddos in their beds and my mom headed to her job {she works friday nights as a caregiver…so it works perfect for us!} We our house was finally calm I grabbed my new devo and opened to that day, this was the heading on Friday’s page…

“Restore us to yourself, Lord, that we may return;

    renew our days as of old”

Lamentations 5:21

I cannot even begin to tell you the sense of piece I had!

  This was the very first verse I read today…

“Therefore do not be like them.

For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him.”

Matthew 6:8
