My thoughts…

Honestly I don’t know how it is possible but Lord, I Give You This Day was my first ever Kay Arthur book! Since receiving it I have become a HUGE fan and have accumulated a whole “Kay Arthur” Library…including her kids bible studies from Precept Ministries! If you don’t  know Kay Arthur, then let me make the introductions! If you do know her, well then you know you can’t read anything she has written without being inspired! This is so far the BEST daily devotional for women I’ve found! Every single day Kay Arthur’s message seemed to be written just for me! It spoke to me when I felt lost, it spoke to me when I felt sad and overwhelmed, and it spoke to me when I was happy and filled me with joy!  This book is a treasure, full of  insight and encouragement for each day.

A few little things I love: it’s smaller size, hardcover so you can carry it in your purse or diaper bag, and a ribbon book mark to hold your place.

Have been feeling like other devotionals are ho-hum? Lord, I Give You This Day is a very refreshing change. If you are looking for an encouragement packed devotional to jump-start your day in a way that will stick with you throughout the day as well as build your faith, I highly recommend this book.

This little book is a huge blessing written just for me….and you too!

Our Homeschool Classroom 2013-2014

I have been blessed with a home that has a beautiful downstairs oversized living room. When we first looked at our how nearly 8 years ago and I saw the room I told my husband “this will be the coolest homeschool room” I have the ability to have a school room and a playroom in one…which is FANTASTIC! Everything in our school room has been accumulated over the last 6ish years and painted it more times than I can remember 🙂

I’m finally ready to share my 2013-2014 classroom pics with you!  I still have a few gutter shelves to add and couple finishing touches!  Let me tell you, I had a ton of fun decorating. I love how it turned out this year &  I hope you do, too! 🙂

I have quite a bit of pics for you, so here we go!

a larger pulled back photo! The light gray low shelf my hubby built for me last night and I am IN LOVE!

Our “Verse of the week” board!

The ever important “gutter” shelves! These are AWESOME! I wish I would have some of these in our first home! I would have had so much more space!

Here is a closer look at my low floor shelf… it has four large “cubbies” perfect for things that take up lots of space like puzzles, books, games, act.

Calendar and We Choose Virtues

The shelf again…yeah I’m pretty stoked about it! 🙂

In the corner I have tons of posters and art supplies

The twins area! Later this week I will be painting the blue lower wall in chalkboard paint and adding a gutter shelf to hold a bunch of story books for the twinnies!

Computer Corner!

Our Virtues wall!

Here is a pull back of some of the gutter shelves as you can see they hold a lot! {we have 7 total and they cost maybe $35 when it was all said and done}

Our cursive banner that was given to us last year!

My math, history, science & printables shelf!

And…the ever important metal door! The entertainment this give is unreal…the twins will play with the letter, fish and emotion magnets for hours!

So there you have it! I’m planning on a post all about my new floor shelf with cubbies!

What kind of room do you have? I’d love to hear all about it! if you shared about it on your blog please comment and leave me the link!! Can’t wait to hear and see all about it!

I’m joining in the fun with iHomeschool Network’s Not Back to School Blog Hop. Don’t forget to go check it out to see how other families are homeschooling this year! You might even get a few new ideas!
