Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders

Happy Monday! As I mentioned last week the Lord is working HUGE in my family! If you are believer you know when God moves satan FREAKS…we have been dealing with a ton of spiritual warfare. We are staying continuously in God word. One Friday I started a new SheReadsTruth bible study in 1-2-3 John. 123-John-ABIDEHonestly when I decided to pick a new SRT bible study I didn’t think I would be doing this particular study…but God did! Over the last few days God has spoken to me in ways I NEVER expected! Yesterday the “H” word happened in my heart…I was Humbled….in a HUGE way. I mean the Lord called me out…honestly I needed it and I’m so happy it happened, I didn’t realize the extent until I asked God to reveal it. Had I not been studying in that particular passage I would have probably just continued on my happy little way. Thank you Lord that you guided me to this study! If you haven’t already head over to SheReadTruth and start a bible study {there are a bunch and are on average last about 2 weeks} The Current plan is Jonah {I haven’t done it yet, but my mom said it is phenomenal. Something that I LOVE about SheReadTruth is that you can always do past plans! And if you have the YouVersion app you can add SheReadsTruth plans to your phone or tablet!

I am writing to you, dear children,
because your sins have been forgiven on account of his name.
I am writing to you, fathers,
because you know him who is from the beginning.
I am writing to you, young men,
because you have overcome the evil one.

1 JOHN | 2:12-13

Of course I have been Encouraged, Comforted, Humbled, and Loved from reading the bible. I have also been so spoken to through some really amazing music! This past one particular song kept catching my ear…no matter where I was. Hillsong United | Oceans was EXACTLY what I needed every single time I heard it play. It was really amazing the way God was working! Not familiar with Hillsong or Oceans? Have a listen!

The Bible in a Year NCV {Bible Review and Giveaway}

Having an independent reader is wonderful and having Bible Study and prayer time first thing in morning is a MUST. As parents is has always been our desire and goal to help our draw closer to the Lord. We daily encourage quiet time to grown in the Lord by letting our children see us spending time with the Lord. They see me through out the day praying for friends, studying for my women’s bible study. Our oldest son sees his dad reading and studying at every single Tae Kwon do class {My husband studies and writes his sermons for Sundays there 😉 }

The Bible in a Year {New Century Version}  is set up in four portions to read each day: one from the Old Testament, one from Psalms, one from Proverbs, and one from the New Testament. It starts on January 1st, to December 31st (however, Leap Day is not included) it is designed to read one day’s reading at a time {each day is about 3-4 pages} For example the readings for March 18th {my birthday} are:

  • Numbers 33:1-34:29
  • Psalm 35:11-16
  • Proverbs 12:2
  • Mark 15:1-20

If you feel like that is a bit much for your kiddos this bible could very easily be adapted into a two-year bible {for example March 18th your child could read Numbers and Psalm then March 19th Proverbs and Mark} This Bible is intended as a study/devotional bible and because of this it is not like normal bibles that start in Genesis and end with Revelation. Instead all the reading {old & new testaments, Psalm and Proverbs are all together for each day. This Bible would not be a good choice if you wanted something to pick up and read through from Genesis through Revelation. The New Century Version is written for a 5th grade reading level which is wonderful. I absolutely recommend this to parents who are looking for a bible for their 8-12 years olds…however it would be great for older and younger children! This is a hardcover bible…which I love for my boys!el

My Father Loves Me

My Father…

Loves me – John 3:16
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

Cares for me – Matthew 6:26
“Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?”

Forgives me – Psalm 103:12
“as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.”

Is compassionate – Psalm 103:4-5
“who redeems your life from the pit
and crowns you with love and compassion,
who satisfies your desires with good things
so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.”

Is giving – Romans 8:32
“He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?”

Is understanding – Psalm 139:1-2
“You have searched me, Lord, and you know me.
You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar.

Is accepting – Psalm 139:1-6
“You have searched me, Lord, and you know me.
You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar.
You discern my going out and my lying down;you are familiar with all my ways.
Before a word is on my tongue you, Lord, know it completely.
You hem me in behind and before, and you lay your hand upon me.
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain.”

Satisfies – Psalm 107:9
“for he satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things.”

Persistently pursues me – Luke 19:10
“For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”

Pardons – Psalm 103:3
“who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases,”

Heals – Isaiah 53:5
“But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.”

Redeems – Job 19:25
“I know that my redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand on the earth.”

Is loving kindness – Psalm 86:15
“But you, Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness.”

Renews – Isaiah 40:31
“but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”

Is righteous – Jeremiah 9:23-24
This is what the Lord says:
“Let not the wise boast of their wisdom or the strong boast of their strength or the rich boast of their riches, but let the one who boasts boast about this: that they have the understanding to know me,
that I am the Lord, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight,” declares the Lord.

Is gracious – Ephesians 1:7-8
“In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace that he lavished on us. With all wisdom and understanding,”

Is sovereign – Psalm 103:19
“The Lord has established his throne in heaven, and his kingdom rules over all.”
