Uninvited: Living Loved When you Feel Less Than, Left Out, and Lonely

9781400205875

Rarely is there a book, especially a “self-help” type book that I love from the moment I open it. Usually these kinds of books are very uncomfortable, very invasive, and VERY convicting. Don’t get me wrong Uninvited totally is all those things but the amazing author Lysa TerKeurst presents it in the most loving gentle way. I have laughed, cried and prayed throughout reading this book!

Lysa TerKeurst is one of my authors, she has been for a while but Uninvited has spoken to me in a way that no other has. Many…ok pretty much all of the  personal struggles and experiences are exactly what I have struggled with and experienced. It almost seemed was if Lysa wrote this book for me and to help heal me from so very difficult things that honestly I had no idea how to deal with. It’s more that just struggles, Lysa shares how rejection has impacted her life, again something that I have gone through that has broken me…really. I love that Lysa invites the reader into her journey of healing, through love, friendship and funny personal anecdotes.

 Learning to Live Loved.

I think it goes without saying…but…this book has been such a blessing for my heart and my healing. I know I am not the only one who easily feels rejected or left out in life, and often this pain can lasts for years. Uninvited helped remind me of who I am:

Fully and completely loved,

NO MATTER WHAT

I am a daughter of the King.

I’m not who that guy says I am.
I’m not who that girl says I am.
I’m not who social media likes and comments say I am.
I’m not who the grades, to do lists, messes, and mess ups say I am.
I’m not who the scale says I am or the sum total of what my flaws and say I am.
I’m going to stop flirting with the unstable things of this world so I can fall completely in love with You.
I am loved.
I am held.
I am Yours.
I am forever Yours.

It’s time for you to heal.

It’s time for you to Live Loved.

Lysa and Uninvited can help you heal from that broken, alone, and unloved life, giving you the ability to start living the life that God designed for you.
I HIGHLY recommend this book to everyone….seriously! It’s so wonderful!
HUGE Thank you to Lysa for being so vulnerable, she blessed me more than I can ever put in to words! God has truly blessed her! ❤
